Dana Parker-Gilbert and Joyce Holt joined forces to form Simply Charming Window Works & Design.
Joyce Holt created Window Works, a business providing high-quality window treatments, over 50 years ago. After a great run, she began looking for someone to purchase her business. Dana had spent 30 years in the corporate world, but her true passion of design had long been a side business.
She dreamed of days spent helping clients decorate for holidays, preparing nurseries for brand-new babies, or creating spaces that captured the spirit of the people living in them. Her side business was known as Simply Charming Interiors. When Dana and Joyce met, the wheels began turning. Joyce knew if she sold to Dana that she would carry on her vision of excellence and add even more than she had ever imagined. Dana decided to purchase Window Works and merged her business to create Simply Charming Window Works & Design. The rest they say is history or, for Dana, it is history in the making.
Today, Dana and her team are thrilled to provide you with the expertise, excellence and beauty you deserve.

Dana Parker-Gilbert isn’t technically a fairy. However, her ability to understand her clients’ dreams and transform their spaces (without breaking the bank) has been described as pretty magical! Many times without purchasing a thing, she can arrange and organize what you already have to allow your dream to become a reality. It has happened time & time again with many clients throughout the years. If, you are moving, downsizing or remodeling, her talents and her team truly take the load and the stress off of you. She and her team are easy to have in your home, which is another “gift” she brings to you. You will truly miss them when they are gone!

“I will never forget when we moved to Little Rock. I was 6 years old. My mother custom draperies for our new home. She could not afford to hire a professional designer. She worked with an incredible seamstress and designed the perfect window treatments, shower curtain and more for our home. When family or friends would come to visit, the first thing my mother would show them was her beautiful custom window treatments.
This made a lasting impression on me. I loved the way those beautiful draperies looked, but, more importantly, I loved how happy they made my mother! They made our house a beautiful home. When you surround your space with pieces that bring you happiness, it’s hard not to feel happy in that space. I was inspired at the young age of 6, and I will say, things took off from there.
What inspires me now: the treasured items that are important to a client. The things that make their house a home, and/or, the look or feel that they want in their home. We take what you love and use it as the design foundation for the rest of the space…whether that be a window or a room. Together, we discuss colors, styles, texture and most of all “function” for everyday use of your window/room!
